Yes, I&#039;d install the cron job as root user so they&#039;d have to have root access to disable it.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;However, most attackers won&#039;t even know you are monitoring the directory let alone the method you are using.</description>

		<description>Nice idea, but if the attacker has gained the permissions to modify the files for your website, won&#039;t they also have permissions to view and edit the cron job list?  I suppose you could run the cron jobs as root...</description>
